Babyface: L.A. Mansion Catches Fire

Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds' bathroom got real hot and steamy this weekend ... cause it was on fire.

Sources say... fire trucks raced to the Grammy winner's L.A. mansion yesterday afternoon after a fire started in his tinkle room.

We're told the singer's inside sprinkler system put out the flames before units arrived -- nothing major burned down ... but there was some water damage.

A rep for the singer didn't know if Babyface was inside when the fire started ... but we're told the house was occupied.

No word on what started the fire.

Fun Fact: Babyface has written and produced over 26 No. 1 R&B hits throughout his career.

We're guessing this won't set him back much.

Jackson Family: If Murray Is Allowed To Practice Again He'll Kill

Michael Jackson's family fears Dr. Conrad Murray will KILL someone else if he's allowed to practice medicine.

Sources close to the family tell say... most of them are both offended and afraid at Murray's bid to regain his right to practice.  They can't believe Murray would have a ghost of a chance to practice after being convicted and jailed for the death of Michael.

The family scoffs at the notion that he didn't harm anyone other than MJ during his 20 years of practice.  They believe Murray acted so recklessly with Michael -- partly out of greed and partly because he was a starf**ker.

But the family will almost certainly not appear at any medical board hearing over Murray's license.  We're told they've had more than enough of dealing with the good doc.

Chris Brown Incredibly There's No Fight Video

Chris Brown got into a fight last Sunday literally a stone's throw from the White House -- one of the most heavily guarded areas of the country -- yet we've learned not a single camera recorded the altercation, and in this case it could be game-changing.

As you know Chris has been charged with misdemeanor assault for allegedly punching a guy in the face outside the W Hotel in D.C. Sources connected with the hotel say there were two cameras on an overhang but neither was trained on the fight.

What's more, although there are government buildings in the immediate area, law enforcement sources tell us no surveillance camera picked up the fight.

Police and members of Chris Brown's team have combed the area looking for video but we know they have come up empty-handed.

So why is this good for Chris?  As first reported, a secret service agent patrolling the area at the time of the fight heard the alleged victim tell a DC cop that Chris did NOT punch him. The D.C. cop has denied the victim ever told him that, but the Secret Service agent could blow up his credibility.

Short story -- advantage Chris.

Spice Up Your Life With Change

 Hello my beauties I hope you had a wonderful couple of week as I have. Its the beginning of a new season, to leaves are falling and it's time for a change. Something new to give you a fresh and  renewed look on life. Someone once told me that the only thing that is consistent in life is change. With change comes new fears of the unknown but with change also comes new experiences. This is literally a new season and what's better for a new season than I new look. Maybe you want to do something from your pass, a ponytail or if you usually wear your hair up all the time try wearing it down. This works well if you want a subtle change, nothing too permanent. Or maybe you want to add something to your look like maybe braids for easy maintenance. Whatever floats your boat as they say. Small changes like these or a drastic change depending on your personality can be a lot of fun. You can also try getting opinions of close friends or your stylist of what they would like to see on you. We often put ourselves in a box of what looks good on us, what doesn't look good on you, what your best features are or what features need to be downplayed. Sometimes we're right and sometimes we're wrong but getting help from others gives you more options. It's like having a new set of eyes to see yourself through and it maybe something totally different from what you feel you should look like. Perhaps you should try a new color hair. If you want to be settle you could do some streaks that compliment your natural hair color or if you want to be bold you could do a permanent color change to your entire head. There are many options out there to give you a little spice but what's most important is that you love it. Remember my beauties love yourselves like no one else can and you'll find what works for you. Have a wonderful day.

Kanye West Marriage Proposal Coming To A Kardashian Show Near You

Kanye West pulled out all the stops when he proposed to Kim Kardashian ... paying the orchestra members a relative fortune ... all while cameras were rolling.

A member of the orchestra tells TMZ ... she was paid 4 times what she usually gets for such a gig -- members snagged up to 1k each.

She says no one got wind of Kanye's plan until 2 days before the event.   A contractor reached out to a bunch of musicians in the area.  But here's the thing ...The orchestra members kept the secret for a full 2 days.  They did sign non-disclosure agreements, but you know how that works ...

The woman also tells us ... multiple cameras were rolling during Kanye's proposal, so there's plenty of material for the Kardashian reality show.  We're told Kanye has final approval over whether it goes on the show or not.

As for the event ... she says Kanye was "very hands on."

Kanye West strolled into his hotel in San Francisco ... just hours after proposing to baby mama Kim Kardashian -- and the guy looked REALLY HAPPY!

West was in such a great mood all day. In fact, the rap star even threw out a peace sign to the photogs who were snapping his pic -- it's almost like he got laid or something...

Congrats pal ... on the engagement (and on the getting laid thing).

Jermaine Jackson Pay Child Support or Go Directly To Jail

Jermaine Jackson could be playing to 5,000 people soon ... the inmates at a L.A. County Jail ... a place he may be calling home soon if he doesn't ante up back child support.

Jermaine is falling farther and farther behind .... he's required to pay baby mama Alejandra Jackson $3K a month for 13-year-old Jermajesty and 17-year-old Jaafar … but the mailbox has been empty for months.

Court docs say he owes $12K in back payments … And of that he’s only coughed up a measly 85 bucks.

The L.A. County Child Support Services Dept. has filed papers asking a judge to hold Jermaine in contempt ... which could put him behind bars for 20 days.

BTW, this isn’t the first time Jermaine has slacked off.  He belatedly paid $80,000 back in March 2011 … and anted up another $33K in back support this past May.  He's also had his wages garnished.

If the current case goes before a judge, Jermaine is gonna have a hard time explaining how he dropped $160K last month for a Ferrari.

Grand Theft Auto V Star History Of Violence With Ice Cube But That Sh*t Is Over Now

Back before he voiced Franklin the gangbanger in "Grand Theft Auto V," Shawn Fonteno was a rapper who allegedly KNOCKED OUT Ice Cube in a legendary street fight ... TMZ has learned.

Fonteno used to rap under the name Solo -- and back in the day, he appeared in the documentary "Beef 2" describing a fight with Cube, in which he claims he KO'd the rapper over a business dispute and stole his chain.

The story was huge back in the '90s ... and the incident was a big part of the nasty feud between Cube and Cypress Hill, since Solo was tight with CH (scroll to 9:57 in the YouTube clip).



But now, Fonteno has grown up ... and this week in L.A., the voice actor told us he's buried the hatchet with his former foe.

"We both hustlers homie, it is what is, you know what I’m sayin’?" Fonteno told us.

"He’s from South Central, I’m from South Central, that sh*t’s over with man."

Fonteno says he's not only moved on ... but he now wants to WORK WITH Cube in the future ... telling the rapper, "Holla at ya boy!”

Justin Bieber: D.A. Rejects Speeding, Spitting Cases Calls Him Immature

Justin Bieber is in the clear ... the L.A. County District Attorney just REJECTED 2 cases targeting the singer -- the case in which he allegedly SPIT on his neighbor, and the case in which he allegedly was speeding recklessly in his Calabasas neighborhood.

As for the spitting case -- get this.  The alleged victim actually SAVED THE LOOGIE.  But that wasn't enough for a prosecution.  The D.A. says it was one guy's word against another, and Justin denied hawking a big one.

The D.A. says during the altercation, the neighbor told cops Bieber said, "I will beat the s**t out of you and I will f**king kill you."  D.A. investigators decided Bieber's actions were "disproportionate and immature, but since the neighbor had entered the property without invitation Bieber's actions did not rise to the level of a criminal threat."

As for the speeding case, it all came down to the video tape ... which shows Justin was not even in the Ferrari in question at the time of the incident.  He was riding behind the car on a motorcycle.

The D.A. also notes Tyler, the Creator actually took responsibility on TMZ for driving the car.  So case closed.

Katherine Jackson We Proved Our Point

Katherine Jackson has a rather tortured analysis of the jury verdict -- she seems to be saying even if she didn't get any money, she still kinda won.

Katherine says, "We have said from the beginning that this case was a search for the truth.  We found the truth.  AEG hired Dr. Conrad Murray, the man who is in jail for killing Michael Jackson."

She's right to this extent ... the jury did say AEG Live hired Murray.  In fact Katherine scoffs at AEG, saying, "AEG has denied for years, and continues to deny, that they hired Dr. Conrad Murray.  The jury found unanimously that AEG hired Dr. Murray." 

But then the jury delivered a knockout punch to the Jackson lawsuit, by deciding essentially that when AEG Live hired Murray, they had no reason to believe he was an incompetent general practitioner ... which was the whole point of bringing a doctor on board in the first place.  Therefore, AEG was not negligent.

Katherine is pissed, saying, "AEG has repeated the mantra that this lawsuit was a shakedown.  Such a statement is a slap in the face of the entire judicial system that allowed this case to go to a jury."

Katherine and her lawyer, Perry Sanders, say "All options regarding the balance of the jury verdict (the ruling there was no negligence) are being considered."

Michael Jackson Death Trial Jackson Family Loses

The Jackson family just LOST their bid to hold AEG Live accountable for Michael Jackson's death.

The jury ruled AEG Live did hire Conrad Murray.  That's huge.  The jury then ruled Conrad Murray was NOT unfit or incompetent to treat MJ.   Katherine and the kids lose.

So here's the thing.  The question that ruined Katherine's case was whether Murray was competent to handle Jackson when he was hired, and the jury said he was.  Ironically, a jury in the criminal case ruled Murray then went off the rails and did things that ultimately killed MJ.  But because he was competent at the outset -- the Jackson family lost.

The jury foreman confirmed this during a post-court news conference where he said they felt Murray was competent to do the job for which he was hired -- a good general practitioner. However he added, "That doesn't mean we felt he was ethical. Had that question been in there, it could have been a different outset.
Katherine Jackson and Michael's 3 kids were suing AEG, claiming the company negligently hired and supervised Dr. Conrad Murray and pushed MJ way beyond the limits for his "This Is It" tour.

AEG claimed Michael hired Murray and what went on between them was a secret to all ... including AEG.

Dr. Conrad Murray Says MJ Death Verdict Vindicates HIM

Michael Jackson's former doctor and convicted killer, Conrad Murray, must be getting pretty strong meds behind bars ... because he thinks the jury in the wrongful death trial proved he's a good physician -- he's dead wrong.

Murray left a message for someone shortly after the judge announced AEG Live was not accountable for MJ's death -- and on the recording, Murray says the decision proves, "I have never been and never will be an inept physician."

Murray's missing one giant point ... which is that the jury really only said they felt he was fit to do what AEG hired him to do -- be a good general practitioner for MJ. The part about pumping Michael full of Propofol every night was never relevant to the questions the jury was asked to answer.

In fact, the jury foreman made it clear they were NOT saying they felt Murray was ethical -- and said the verdict might have been different if ethics were in play during this trial.

Nonetheless, Murray feels vindicated ... so, you gotta hear him gushing and praising God, the jury, and the justice system ... this time, anyway.

Chris Brown And Drake Squash Their Beef On Camera

Chris Brown and Drake have BURIED THE HATCHET after the bitter, bloody, bottle-throwing Rihanna-fueled beef ... and the reconciliation was all captured on video.

Brown posted a video on Facebook last night that was shot in a recording studio -- and it shows a bunch of superstars who are collaborating with CB.

But the shocking part ... one of the people in the studio is Drake -- who is not only hanging out with his former arch-nemesis, but the two BRO OUT with an "I don't hate your guts anymore" handshake.

Pretty crazy how far these two have come -- since it was just last year when their entourages brawled in a NY nightclub, leaving several innocent bystanders with major injuries, including NBA star Tony Parker.

It's unclear when or how the two settled their differences -- but according to reports ... they were seen hanging out at the iHeart Radio Music Festival in Vegas last month.

Jermaine Jackson The Big Winner In MJ Trial... Maybe

If Katherine Jackson wins her lawsuit against AEG ... the BIG winner isn't really Katherine or Michael's 3 kids ... more likely it's Jermaine Jackson, along with Tito, Randy and Marlon.

We got Jermaine out in Calabasas yesterday ... and we asked if Katherine provided for him in her will, but he dodged the question.

Here's the significance.  Katherine is suing for $10 BILLION.   If the jury awards her a substantial amount of money, it would almost certainly go to her kids when she dies, and here's why --  Michael's children won't need the money for two reasons.

First, the 3 kids are also suing, so any judgment would probably be more than enough for them to live off of.  Also, when Katherine dies, they'll pretty much get the vast fortune that has been accumulated in the MJ Estate.

The logical people who would get Katherine's money would be hubby Joe and their kids.  Katherine has been sparing in terms of what she gives Joe -- they don't live together anymore, so her kids would almost certainly be the primary beneficiaries of what she leaves behind.

As for the kids -- Janet is doing just fine, and we're told La Toya is also sitting pretty in the finance department.  So the boys would benefit the most.

Rihanna Attempted Burglary Suspects Caught On Tape

 
Rihanna's string of bad luck with homes continues -- someone tried to break into her Pacific Palisades mansion over the weekend ... TMZ has learned.

While Rihanna gallivanted around Australia half-naked ... someone drove up her private road onto her $12 million property, walked to the backyard and threw a chair through a sliding glass door ... law enforcement sources tell TMZ.

The would-be burglars were scared off -- apparently by the alarm, because they left without entering. 

Here's their problem -- Rihanna's house is covered by security cameras.  And get this ... to approach the property you have to drive onto a private road.  As you turn onto the road, there's a sign:  "Smile, You're on camera" 

Cops are still on the hunt for the intruders.

It's not the first problem Rihanna has had with unwanted visitors.  In February a stalker tried to  break into her house but mistakenly entered her neighbor's pad ... then in June, another man was busted by her security team, after they spotted him creeping on her roof.

And you may recall ... before buying this estate, Rihanna lived in Bev Hills, where she sued the former owner, home inspector and realtor, claiming they defrauded her by unloading a leaky piece of crap.

Jim Jones Busted Uptown Baby Allegedly Drove High In The Bronx

Rapper Jim Jones was arrested for cruising around high -- and allegedly at high speed -- this morning in the Bronx ... TMZ has learned.

According to law enforcement sources ... NYPD pulled JJ over around 2 AM for speeding on a highway ... and when officers approached his Chevy Impala (baller) -- they say he had bloodshot eyes and looked out of it.

We're told they put Jones through some field sobriety tests ... which he did NOT pass with flying colors.

Sources tell us JJ refused a breathalyzer test back at the police station, and was booked for driving under the influence of drugs. We're told the drug is believed to be marijuana.

Jones has been busted a few other times in NY and NJ, but still can't touch DMX's stats. Nobody does.

Mary J.Blige I'm A First Class Star So Treat Me Like One

Mary J. Blige is a big star who deserves to be treated like a big star and if you try to sue her ...she will try to crush you in court like the big star that she is -- at least that's how it seems in new legal docs.

MJB is firing back at Vision Entertainment Worldwide -- a company that sued her for bailing on a concert last December ... to the tune of $145K which was her advance.

Mary's response -- sue me ... sue you!  In her countersuit, MJB says if anybody breached the contract ... it was VEW -- because it failed to provide first-class air travel for her and her crew ...  because that's what an artist of her stature deserves.

She has absolutely no plans to give back the $145K ... in fact ... she's demanding the company pay her the balance of the deal -- $105,000.

Britany Spears I Won't Make My Kid Dance On Stage

Apparently Britney Spears heard Kevin Federline's threat loud and clear ... because she's backed off her comment that Sean Preston will join her on stage for her Vegas concert series.

Britney said in an interview during her big announcement last month ... "Preston will probably be on stage but I think Jayden would have a hard time with it."


The next day we got video of K-Fed ... and he made it clear, his 8-year-old would NOT be performing with Britney.

Britney's rep tells TMZ ... she was "joking" when she said Sean Preston would join her on stage.  Frankly, it didn't sound like a joke.  What's more, there's history ... the kid occasionally came out and danced on stage during her Femme Fatale tour.



In fact, during Britney's Circus tour back in 2009 ... K-Fed had beef with Brit over taking the kids on the road, but he settled it after getting $5k a week, as well as, all-expenses paid when he joined them on the road.

So who knows ... maybe K-Fed will have a change of heart if ... well, the price is right.  But for now, Sean Preston is off the marquis.

Vanilla Ice wants Justin Bieber to stop acting like a shirtless douchebag all the time and take Miley Cyrus' advice --  before his career becomes a big, fat joke.

Ice a.k.a. Rob Van Winkle thinks Miley was dead on when she told Rolling Stone ... she's been telling Bieber to put an end to the d-bag antics ... before people "think he's Vanilla Ice."

Rob was honored Miley name-dropped him as the bad example -- and paid respect with his own Miley-esque foot pic -- telling us he knows exactly where Biebs is coming from ... but only Justin has the power to make a change.

"It's like living an artificial life" Van Winkle says, adding, "when the dust settles, no one can figure it out or help you but yourself."

Cher Sonny's Ghost Still Screws With Me

Cher believes in life after ... death -- claiming ex-husband Sonny Bono's ghost not only lingers around ... but still pulls pranks on her!

When asked about her thoughts on ghosts during a recent AMA (ask me anything) on Reddit ... Cher confessed she's a hardcore believer -- 'cause Sonny still messes with her from beyond.

"I actually think that Sonny makes a light go on (in the house)" Cher revealed, adding, "I have a beautiful chandelier that he makes the light go on when it is impossible, there is no power on."
                                                                                                                   

 

It's possible Cher is telling the truth ... or she could just be nuts.
