J.R. Smith is a Free Agent

Washington Wizards v New York Knicks
J.R. Smith decided not to play the last season of his contract at $2.9 million dollars because he had a breakout year this season.
Check it out after the break!
J.R. Smith, 27, earned the NBA’s Sixth Man Award after averaging 18.1 points and 5.3 rebounds per game. He played an integral role in the Knicks’ regular-season success but struggled  in the playoffs, making just 33 percent of his field goals.  The Knicks can opt to retain the relationship with Smith and offer him a salary beginning at $5 million per year.
But, another team with more salary cap room may be willing to offer more.  We’ll have to wait and see.

Now, we know J.R. loves the ladies, champagne and the clubs.  So, he can get his party on in the off-season, while he awaits his fate for the 2013-2014 season.  He might want to stay away from Rhianna though.
