Chief Keef is in trouble with the law for the third time in one month. Minutes after the embattled rapper pleaded guilty to speeding last month, he was reportedly picked up on a misdemeanor trespassing charge. His lawyer Leah Starkman tells the “Chicago Tribune” she believes police were waiting for Chief Keef to leave the courthouse before arresting him, though the details of why he was arrested were unclear.
Earlier in the day Chief Keef — born Keith Cozart — accepted a plea bargain for driving 110 miles-per-hour in a 55 miles-per-hour zone last month. He was sentenced 18 months of probation, during which he was ordered not to drive. Chief Keef will also have to perform 60 hours of community labor as well as undergo random drug testing and eight hours of traffic school.
As Cook County Circuit Court Judge Earl Hoffenberg sentenced Cozart, he warned the rapper that if he violates the conditions of his plea agreement, he would be jailed. Apart from the arrest for speeding, Keef was arrested in Georgia for allegedly smoking marijuana in a hotel room last month.
Chief Keef’s rough day didn’t end there. Keef was also hit with a second paternity lawsuit. Starkman says the woman in this latest case claims that the rapper is the “natural father” of a little girl.
